Cancellation or curtailment

Well pay the costs you cant recover, if you have to cancel, postpone or rearrange your big day. This could be because someone in the party falls ill or for another unexpected (and unavoidable) reason such as redundancy.

Well also pay for extra costs in rearranging things to avoid cancellation. Unfortunately we cant pay if one of the parties changes their mind.

Marsh Wedding Insurance Main Policy Features

• Cancellation or Curtailment and Rearrangement
Irrecoverable expenses, including rearrangement, incurred as a result of the unavoidable and unexpected cancellation or curtailment of the wedding or reception due to any cause beyond your control.
 

• Ceremonial Attire Bridal Attire
We will pay for the loss of or damage to the outfits belonging to or hired for the wedding party. (The bride, groom, their parents or guardians, brides attendants, best man and ushers.)
 

• Photographs and videos
• We will pay for the cost of retaking the photographs or video following the failure of the professional photographer to turn up or the non development or total loss of of the original film, memory card or video.
• Rings
We will pay for the loss of or damage to the rings for up to 7 days prior to the wedding and up to 24 hours after the reception whilst at home, at the reception or in transit.
 

• Presents and Gifts
We will pay for the loss of or damage to the presents and gifts up to 7 days prior to the wedding and up to 24 hours after the reception whilst at home, at the reception or in transit.
 

• The Cake
We will pay up to £1000 for the loss of or damage to the wedding cake up to 7 days prior to the wedding.
 

• Flowers
We will pay up to £1000 for the loss of or damage to the wedding flowers up to 7 days prior to the wedding.
 

• Transportation
We will pay up to £1000 for the total failure of the transportation supplier to fulfil their contractual obligations on the wedding day.
 

• Failure of Suppliers
We will pay for any lost deposit, amount paid in full or additional costs in rearranging services, should one of your suppliers go into liquidation whilst holding your deposit.
 

• Public Liability
Provides cover in respect of legal liability arising from accidental bodily injury to third parties or accidental loss of or damage to third party property.
 

• Wedding Equipment
We will pay for the loss of damage to hired in marquees and contents, portable toilets and other associated wedding equipment.
 

• Ceremonial Swords
We will pay for the loss of or damage to hired or loaned ceremonial swords.
 

• Fireworks
Provides cover in respect of legal liability arising from accidental bodily injury to third parties or accidental damage to third party property as a result of a fireworks display. In order to purchase this cover you must comply with the Department of Trade and Industry's (DTI) regulations for firework displays (if you are using a professional fireworks company who carry their own liability insurance you will not need this extension). • Employers Liability cover up to £5,000,000
Cover for up to 10 non manual staff, volunteers or helpers eg. waiting staff.

• No insurer has ever declined my / our proposal or refused to renew or cancelled my / our policy or imposed special terms or conditions for any of the risks proposed.
• I/we have not suffered any losses or had any claims made against me/us by any employee or any third party in respect of death, injury or damage to property during the last five years, whether insured or not, in respect of any of the risks which I/we now wish to insure.
• I/we have not been convicted of or charged with (but not tried) or received a police caution in connection with arson or any other criminal offence (other than motoring offences)
Note: Convictions regarded as spent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 do not need to be disclosed
 

• I/we have not been prosecuted or received notice of intended prosecution or been served with a Prohibition Notice in connection with a breach of any health and safety legislation.
• I/we have not been declared insolvent or bankrupt or been the subject of bankruptcy proceedings.
• I/we have not been the subject of a County Court Judgement (or Scottish equivalent) or are any proceedings pending.
• I/we have not been a director or partner in any business which is or has been the subject of a winding up or administrative order, or receivership proceedings.
• I/we are resident/s of the United Kingdom
